Public Art & Spatial Expression
Aesthetics, in our work, is not ornamentation, it is meaning made visible. Through material, colour, form, and scale, we shape environments that resonate emotionally and culturally.
Concept
Curated by Meenakshi Payal, the Haridwar Mural Festival
brought contemporary public art into one of India’s most
sacred cities. Developed in collaboration with Namami Gange
under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, the project transformed key
urban landmarks while respecting Haridwar’s spiritual
ethos.
Artists from India, the USA, and Mexico contributed works that
addressed culture, ecology, and collective responsibility,
demonstrating how art can animate public spaces without
overpowering their sacred character.
Concept
Set within one of the world’s oldest living cities, this project integrated murals into the iconic ghats of Varanasi. Eight international artists interpreted themes of tradition, pollution, and continuity, creating a dialogue between ancient ritual and contemporary expression.
